The LinkedIn Outbound Stack
Most agencies and GTM operators running LinkedIn outbound use the same core tools: Clay to build and enrich lead lists, HeyReach or Instantly to send connection requests and messages from personal sender accounts, and some form of CRM or sequencer to manage follow-up. The stack works well. But there's one piece almost everyone skips that breaks the system at the moment it matters most.
The stack that most agencies use
Lead research
Clay (or Apollo, Prospeo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
Build targeted lists, enrich with firmographic and intent data, personalise at scale.
Connection and messaging
HeyReach or Instantly
Send connection requests from personal sender profiles, follow up with messages, manage reply routing.
CRM and follow-up
Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce, or a spreadsheet
Track conversations, manage pipeline, handle replies.
Content on the sender profiles
Usually nothing. This is the gap.
The profiles sending the outreach are silent — no posts, no activity, nothing to show.
Step 4 is the one that breaks the system. When a prospect receives a connection request, the first thing they do is click the sender's profile. If it's empty — no posts, no activity, nothing to signal the person is real and worth connecting with — the request is ignored or declined. The rest of the stack is working; this is the moment it breaks.
Why empty profiles kill acceptance rates
LinkedIn users have become better at spotting automated outreach. A profile with no recent posts, no follower growth and no engagement history reads as a ghost account. Acceptance rates for empty senders are significantly lower than for active ones.
The problem compounds across agencies. An agency running outbound for 10 clients might manage 50 or 100 sender accounts. Keeping all of them active with credible, on-brand content — without hiring a content team for each client — is operationally impossible to do manually.
The instinct is to automate posting, but that creates a different problem: every profile starts to look the same. The posts need to reflect each person's actual voice, seniority and expertise. A VP of Sales and a BDR should not be publishing identical content.
What active profiles look like vs empty ones
| Active sender profile | Empty sender profile |
|---|---|
| Posts 2–4x per week | Last post 6+ months ago |
| Content reflects their expertise and role | No activity or generic reposts |
| Follower count growing | Flat or zero followers |
| Prospects click through and see a real person | Prospects see a ghost account |
| Connection acceptance rate: higher | Connection acceptance rate: lower |
How agencies solve this
There are three approaches agencies try.
Option 1: Do it manually
Assign a copywriter to each sender. Brief them on each person's voice. Review and schedule manually. Works at 5 senders. Breaks at 20.
Option 2: Use a generic scheduler
Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social. Post the same content to every profile. Fast, but every sender looks identical. Prospects notice.
Option 3: Use a tool built for this
B2B Creators runs content across every sender profile in your outbound stack — each post in the person's own voice, routed for approval, published on schedule. Built for agencies managing multiple clients and multiple senders per client. Operated from Claude rather than a separate dashboard.
